Counter narratives, or documentation of the lived experiences of people marginalized because of their race, ethnicity, class, gender or gender identity, immigration status, language, disability, and more, are powerful tools to unmask power relationships in our society. Throughout the Adult and Higher Education Masters Program I have sought out and uplifted counter narratives to educate myself, classmates, and our communities. Moving forward I am interested in the use of digital storytelling as an education tool to support adult learners to produce their own narratives - or counter narratives.
